With each day, week, and month that passes, I’m reminded more and more how much of a gift Charlie is to us. It’s kind of crazy to think you can learn life lessons from a baby who has barely lived any life yet, but he has taught me so, so much. So far, in four months, Charlie has taught me to enjoy each moment because it’s so fleeting. He changes in the blink of an eye and while it’s amazing to see him grow and develop, it’s bittersweet because you just want them to stay little forever. It’s an odd conundrum, being a parent. I want the world for him, but at the same time want him to be a little, helpless newborn forever.

Over the last month, he has started smiling all the time, fallen in love with trying to stand, and lets a few giggles escape every once in a while. His sweet smiles melt your heart and his happy eyes trick me into doing any and all of his bidding.
