Mr. & Mrs. Burnett | Rustic Fall Wedding at Blackberry Hill Wedding Barn | Columbus, Indiana Wedding Photographers

September is always one of our very favorite weddings months. It’s the month where we get to feel the temperatures slowly cool off, fall vibes work their way into weddings, and Indiana really starts to shine.

Yesterday we really got spoiled with some beautiful weather from temperature to golden hour light. This rustic barn wedding was the perfect setting to celebrate Sam & Erica’s wedding celebrating. This wedding is packed with stunning DIY centerpieces, cups, and so much more. This couple spent so much time preparing for wedding day and making the most amazing pieces to perfectly capture their own personalities throughout the day.

Their ceremony was one that just touches your soul with their moment of worship where all of their guests joined in singing along to some incredibly moving, powerful songs. From start to finish, this wedding is packed with candid smiles and truly happy moments with Erica and Sam surrounded by their friends and family.

Mr. & Mrs. Knapp | Fall Wedding at the Old Barn Brown County | Nashville Wedding Photographer

When Lauren and Brandon reached out to us we were so excited from the very first email. We’ve both known Brandon for over a decade from going to high school together but being from the same city, Adam can move that relationship back two decades all the way to t-ball! That small town life, am I right?

The morning of Lauren and Brandon’s wedding I was elated because we got blessed with amazing weather. We had slightly over cast skies, cool fall weather, and the sun came out at just the right times for our sunset session.

Their decor was so perfect. From the florals and table decor to the different signs. This wedding is absolute wedding decor goals especially with the rustic aesthetic of the Old Barn at Brown County in Nashville, Indiana.

Mr. & Mrs. Brennan | Fall Wedding at the Indianapolis Art Center | Indianapolis Wedding Photography

These Colorado sweethearts decided to come back to good old Indiana to tie the knot with family and friends and we couldn’t be more excited to have been there to celebrate with them. It’s no secret that we love celebrating with fellow pet parents, but these two just about made our day with Noel’s wedding day socks made after the likeness of their golden retriever who couldn’t be there to celebrate the day with them. We always say that there is always a way to include your pets, and these two sure proved that!

The Indianapolis Art Center looked stunning on their wedding day and we fully enjoyed the the taste of fall weather we were gifted with. Looking through these photos we have no doubt you’ll feel the infectious love between these two simply from the effortless smiles on Kristi & Noel’s faces throughout the entire day.

We're Hiring!

We're hiring.jpg

When we started this business, we had dreams of working together, celebrating love, and creating beautiful images that would last for generations. Over the years, our dreams and goals have only grown as we’ve been able to watch our business grow.

In September of 2018 we decided to take the first big step in the goal we had dreamed up and we hired our first associate photographer. This was a very scary step because we had to relinquish a tiny piece of control over something that was so important to us – our couples wedding days. However, we knew it was the right move because of the high number of couples we were having to turn away because we were not available.

Then, a few months ago when we found out we’d be adding a little human to our family, we knew more than ever that adding associates to our business was the right decision. Not only do we want to be able to capture more love stories and spend quality time with family and friends, we also want to invest in others. We’ve both gained so much knowledge and skills over the years that we really want to give that back to other creatives.

So, with all of that said, we’re so excited to say that we are looking to hire 4 people to invest in. We would love to find two second photographers and two associate photographers to join us for the remainder of the 2019 season and work alongside us during the 2020 season.

If you think you’d love this opportunity, or if you know someone who would, check out the descriptions below and be sure to complete an application so we can get back to you! We’ll keep applications open until September 22, 2019.

Andrew & Kelsey | Maternity Session | San Bernardino, California Wedding Photographer

In the spring we got the exciting news that we were going to be an aunt and uncle. As soon as they told us they were expecting, we started working on planning our trip out to visit them because we were not going to miss the opportunity to take their maternity photos! A few weeks ago we got to take a little time off to go visit them in their home in San Bernardino, California.

San Bernardino is nestled right in the mountains of southern California AND much to our excitement, lacks that Midwestern humidity! We had an amazing time hiking, exploring, and taking a little break for a few days. The evening before we were catching a plane to head to Hawaii, we went on one more hike to capture their maternity photos.

Since they spend so much time exploring the area, we actually just described the type of location that would make for a good sunset spot and left the rest up to Kelsey & Andrew. And MAN did they do well! We had no idea where they were taking us, and honestly, it was really exciting to be preparing to work with a surprise location. As we finally made the last turn before coming to the clearing my brother had been planning on, we were amazed. I think you’ll see why as you go through the photos, but the location was a perfect spot to see the city below, the mountains all around us, and sunset towards Los Angeles.

Another exciting thing about this maternity session, as if it needs anything else, is that Andrew and Kelsey were our very first wedding couple! They took a chance on us way back when we started and we will be forever grateful to them and can’t wait to capture so many happy moments throughout our lives with them!

We’re are so excited to welcome our little nephew in September and then hopefully learn how to be parents by January when we welcome our little guy!

Disney Inspired New Born Session | Indianapolis Family Photographer

Have you been to Disney World? If so, the magic of the place is no news to you. It’s no exaggeration that the experience is always magical and that Walt really did hit the mark with making a park that all ages can enjoy. Adam and I are pretty big fans of Disney. Whether it be the parks, the movies, or just the magic in general. Well, we at last thought we were big Disney fans. Then we met Aly and Cory when we captured their wedding back in 2017. These two are actually the biggest Disney fans. They got engaged there, had Disney touches throughout their wedding, go about once a year, and of course announced their little guy joining their family while they were on a trip there. So, it was only natural to incorporate something so special to them in their new born session.

Their little guy was so cute with his Mickey ears and of course, being the pet lovers we are, we could pass up incorporating his fur sister as well!

Mr. & Mrs. Singleton | The Biltwell | Indianapolis Wedding Photographers

We were gifted a taste of fall weather for this late August wedding! After so many weeks of hot, humid weather, everyone was so excited to celebrate Kayla and Tyler’s wedding day with the feeling of fall in the air. From beginning to end the wedding party packed the day with excitement and celebration. Kayla gifted her bridesmaids with personalized wine glasses that we of course had to incorporate in some fun wedding party photos.

The Biltwell is one of our favorite venues because they have it all. They’re terrace provides views of downtown and a trendy, urban spot for cocktail hour or wedding party photos! The bridal suite is the perfect spot for all getting ready photos and they always do an amazing job flipping the space from the ceremony to the reception during cocktail hour.

Heidi & Nick | Downtown Chicago Engagement Session | Chicago Wedding Photographer

To be honest, I’ve been trying to get this blog together for so long but have faced challenge after challenge for finding the right words to express my happiness for a couple that is so incredibly important to me. I’ve known Heidi for almost 20 years and have been able to convince her to keep me around the entire time. She’s the most intelligent and thoughtful person.

She was one of the gals who stood by my side when Adam and I got married and has been there for so many special moments in my life that I honestly can’t express how happy I am to be there to photograph her engagement and wedding to Nick.

When our group of friends got to meet Nick years ago, we knew that he was the perfect match for Heidi. I loved that for their engagement session, Adam and I got to crash their life and hang out with them while they had wine, played some games, made amazing coffee, and walked around their new home in Chicago.

I hope you enjoy their engagement session that married cozy at home perfection with elegant downtown Chicago moments!
