Being in the wedding industry, we hear new love stories almost daily. One thing we have always loved about this job is that each story is unique to the couple telling it. No stories are ever exactly the same because they crafted perfectly to fit each couple. When you take a step back from it all, it is so humbling that we get the honor of telling so many stories. Photos and videos one of those things that bring people together for years and years. Admiring my grandparent’s wedding portrait or looking at home videos and flipping through photo albums are some of the things I can remember so vividly throughout my life.
At this point, we have had the honor of capturing almost 100 wedding days. That is almost 100 stories. Each story has held a special place in our hearts, but Paige and Aaron’s story is inspiringly genuine. It’s almost like a country song came to life.
Their story is one of grand, heartfelt gestures. When Aaron asked Paige to be his girlfriend, he put together an elaborate scavenger hunt through the Indianapolis Public Library. He used the Dewey Decimal System to lead her to specific words in specific books throughout the library. At the end of the scavenger hunt, Paige had collected words that spelled out “Will you be my lady?”. Obviously, it was an easy yes. One of two easy “yes’s” Paige would say to Aaron.
Fast forward and Paige and Aaron were buying their first home together. Paige is a hard working nurse putting in long shifts. While she was at one of her 12-hour shifts, Aaron moved all of their belongings into their new house AND set up the Christmas tree. This was all a surprise because Paige thought they weren’t able to close on their house until a few weeks later. The realtor filled asked her to stop by the house to check something out after her shift. She arrives, finds out the house is already moved in, the Christmas tree is up, and Aaron is proposing.
After all of those special moments, we came into the picture. We’d been working with Paige to plan her wedding day, which was suppose to be June 13, 2020. When COVID-19 popped up, it was a bit of a waiting game before they decided to make the hard decision to move their date and reduce their guest list. Through it all, it was so clear that the most important thing to both of them was marrying each other.
The entire day was, honestly, just stunning and easy. Paige had organized everything and had special gifts planned out like a journal that she had been writing letters to Aaron in for three years! These two, and their families, feel their feelings in the most beautiful and genuine way. Going through these pictures, it’s easy to see the emotion everyone is feeling from huge smiles to tears on cheeks (be sure to check out Aaron’s reaction to Paige walking down the aisle).
To Paige and Aaron, thank you. Thank you for trusting us with your day. Thank you for letting us capture all of these special moments. And thank you for inspiring us with your love for each other.
