When we heard about the editorial wedding photoshoot at the Chicago History Museum, we knew it was an opportunity we couldn’t miss. Hosted by Bellagio Florals, this event offered two stunningly distinct sets—each transporting us to different worlds while remaining grounded in the elegance of Chicago.

A Tale of Two Themes: Moody England and Lake Como

The event was meticulously designed, featuring two sets that couldn’t have been more different yet equally captivating.

Moody England Vibes

To begin with, the first set transported us to a place that felt steeped in history, with a moody, intimate ambiance reminiscent of an English estate. Additionally, the backdrop of grand white molding and stone pillars added a timeless quality that was beautifully complemented by the curved table settings and gold flatware. As a result, this set felt like it belonged to another era—a perfect blend of vintage elegance with a modern twist.

Moreover, the couple chosen for this shoot was nothing short of perfection. Their poised presence against the moody backdrop further exemplified the seamless blend of old-world charm and contemporary style that this set embodied.

Lake Como Inspired Elegance

To start, the second set transported us to the sun-drenched shores of Lake Como. In contrast, the color palette was a vibrant shift from the moody tones of the first set—bright oranges and soft pinks dominated the floral arrangements, arching gracefully against the stately backdrop of the museum. Additionally, the natural and organic feel of this setup offered a nod to the effortless beauty of Lake Como, making it a dream to photograph.

In this setting, the couple was beautifully framed by the breathtaking floral arches, their love story captured in the warm hues that mirrored a sunset on the Italian coast. Overall, the balance between the architectural grandeur and the lively, fresh floral designs made this set an absolute joy to film and photograph.
