A Morning of Tranquility by the Lake

Paige started her day in the most serene setting: her childhood home by the lake. It was the perfect space for an intimate, relaxed morning with her closest friends. The gentle breeze coming off the water, soft rain drops, and time spent with her closest friends made for a truly perfect start to her wedding day.

Getting ready in such a meaningful place set the tone for the rest of the day. Every detail of the morning—from the lake views she’s so familiar with to the small, personal touches—was a reflection of Paige’s deep connection to the place she grew up. Capturing these intimate moments allowed us to preserve the beginning of her wedding story in a setting filled with personal history and heart.

For us, it was extra special to start the day at the lake, because it’s also where we captured her and Zach’s engagement session.

Turning Rain into Magic

While an outdoor, lakeside ceremony was in the original plan, nature had other ideas. With Hurricane Helene making an uninvited appearance, the weather pushed the wedding indoors. But, when you’re surrounded by the people you love most, even a hurricane can’t dull the magic. Working closely with the staff at Harrison Lake Country Club, we found a solution to have some “outdoor” portraits even though the rain never let up.

We used an covered outdoor space that had lake and golf course views to our advantage. The venue staff moved furniture for us and we took full advantage of the dry space.

An Unforgettable First Look

Paige and Zach’s first look was more than just a quiet moment before the ceremony. For a personal twist, they legally tied the knot during their first look! It was a beautiful reflection of their relationship: thoughtful, deeply connected, and uniquely their own.

This private vow exchange gave them a chance to share their promises in a quiet, personal moment before stepping into the more traditional ceremony later in the day. By the time they stood before their guests, Paige and Zach had already shared their most intimate vows. This allowed them to fully savor the joy of celebrating their union with their family and friends.

A Reception Full of Energy and Elegance

As the sun set, the celebration moved to Factory 12 Event Loft. They filled the historic, industrial space with their elegant, chic, and timeless wedding aesthetic. Every detail felt like a true reflection of Paige and Zach. Their thoughtful touches such as personalized playing cards, created an atmosphere that was as stylish as it was memorable.

The room was filled with laughter, heartfelt speeches, and a dance floor that didn’t stop. It was one of those evenings where you could feel the joy in the air.
